Step 1: it’s all about the prep
Get exfoliating. Fake tan loves to cling to dead skin (think: elbows, wrists, ankles, and knees), so make sure your skin is exfoliated before you tan. Shake the bottle and grab your bronzing mitt and start applying your self-tanning mousse. It’s all about technique – you’ve got to work all this goodness into your skin using gentle circular movements. Once your time is up, hop in the shower, rinse off and pat dry.
